Eggless Butter Cake
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda/ sodium bicarbonate
- 150gm sweetened condensed milk
- 110 gm/1 stick butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 2 tsp good quality vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Method:
- Grease the cake pan with enough butter or oil.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
- In a mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix with a spoon.
- In other bowl add the butter and the condensed milk and beat (with a hand mixer or a wire whisk) until the mixture is combined, about a couple of minutes. Mix in the yogurt and beat again. Pour in the milk, vanilla essence and powdered sugar and beat until the mixture is well mixed.
- Add flour mix with this butter mix and stir well Make sure we shouldn’t have any lumps and keep on stirring till we get uniform mixture.
- Place the mixture in cake pan and bake at 160 degree Celsius for around 20 minutes and then on 180 for 25 minutes. ( please note all oven work a little bit differently so keep checking in between).
- Once done check with the help of a toothpick when cake is baked or not.
