Eggless Butter Cake

Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  •  2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda/ sodium bicarbonate
  • 150gm sweetened condensed milk
  • 110 gm/1 stick butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 tsp good quality vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Method:
  • Grease the cake pan with enough butter or oil.
  • Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix with a spoon.
  • In other bowl add the butter and the condensed milk and beat (with a hand mixer or a wire whisk) until the mixture is combined, about a couple of minutes. Mix in the yogurt and beat again. Pour in the milk, vanilla essence and powdered sugar and beat until the mixture is well mixed.
  • Add flour mix with this butter mix and stir well Make sure we shouldn’t have any lumps and keep on stirring till we get uniform mixture.
  • Place the mixture in cake pan and bake at 160 degree Celsius for around 20 minutes and then on 180 for 25 minutes.  ( please note all oven work a little bit differently so keep checking in between).
  • Once done check with the help of a toothpick when cake is baked or not.
